1. In the case where the whole keyboard is dead there are multiple failures that can occur. One of them is failure of the keyboard and the other failure of the motherboard. In the first case the keyboard can be replaced. In the latter, the only solution is a motherboard replacement.
2. If a string of keys does not work, the whole keyboard has to be replaced as the internal circuit of the motherboard has partially failed and it cannot be repaired.
3. In the case of a single key not working, there is a possibility that it is a contact failure only and in the majority of cases can be successfuly fixed at a low cost without replacing the whole keyboard.
4. Missing keys on a keyboard can be successfuly replaced if they are available. We keep almost all failed keyboards so we can salvage individual keys for this type of repair. Individual keys cannot be purchased, thats why the recycled come in handy and save you money too. |
